ClearCorrect Q&A

What is ClearCorrect?

ClearCorrect is an orthodontic treatment that uses translucent aligners to straighten your teeth instead of conventional braces, which have bulky brackets and uncomfortable metal wires. Both braces and ClearCorrect straighten teeth gradually, so you can achieve the best results possible without drawing attention to your teeth.

Which dental concerns can ClearCorrect fix?

In addition to straightening crooked teeth in a matter of months, ClearCorrect can treat the following dental problems:

  • Overbite
  • Crossbite
  • Edge-to-edge bite
  • Teeth crowding
  • Spacing concerns
  • Open bite
  • Midline shift
  • Deep bite

Whether you have crooked teeth, alignment issues, or problems with your bite, ClearCorrect can help improve the look and function of your smile.

What are the benefits of ClearCorrect?

There are many advantages to choosing ClearCorrect for your smile, such as:

ClearCorrect aligners are removable, so you can take them out to eat your favorite foods. It’s easy to maintain your usual oral health practices as well, since you can remove ClearCorrect to brush and floss your teeth.

With translucent aligners, ClearCorrect seamlessly blends in with your smile while straightening your teeth. In fact, most people can’t even tell when you’re wearing them.

The average time that most people wear ClearCorrect aligners is 6-12 months, compared to conventional braces, which typically take 18 months to three years.

What happens during the ClearCorrect process?

ClearCorrect offers a completely digital process from start to finish. Once you decide that clear aligners are right for you, Dr. Longakit takes digital impressions of your mouth, eliminating the need for messy impressions.

Next, she uploads these impressions into the ClearCorrect software and sends them to a laboratory to be created. When your aligners arrive at the office, Dr. Longakit walks you through how to use them.

Every three weeks, you should receive a new set of aligners in the mail. Unless Dr. Longakit instructs otherwise, wear them 20-22 hours a day and care for your teeth as you normally would.
